Summer Essentials Collab!

IT’S ALMOST SUMMER! This means that you need to make sure you have got the basic essentials to enjoy this time of year. My blogger friend, Anna and I, thought we could team up together to do a collab and tell you are favourite summer must haves!

My Summer Essentials:

Sunglasses –

Sunglasses are the first thing you reach for when the sun shines. It’s a very obvious summer essential. There are so many different styles like Ray Bans Wayfarer and Aviators, but choose what you feel good in. They are a great fashion statement and also have the practical reason of protecting your eyes from UV rays. They can make excellent headbands if you forget a hair tie or clip and need your hair out of your eyes. Sunglasses mean you can also smile in the sun when taking pictures, this way you aren’t squinting. Plus even if you do close your eyes, no one will know. Sunglasses are a definite summer must have!

Flip Flops –

Flip-flops are perfect for walking on a sandy beach. But many of us choose this footwear on a regular basis to wear all summer long. They are great to keep your feet cool in the heat. You can also show off your latest nail varnish colour. I would recommend Havaianas, as although they are more expensive they are sturdy and very comfortable. But all are practical and you MUST have a pair of flip flops this summer!

Anna’s Summer Essentials:

A Nice Bikini Or Swimming Costume –

A good bikini or swimming costume is very important when your on your summer holiday! I would love a Triangl bikini (top right) as they are a really good swimwear brand and their bikinis are gorgeous but they are so expensive! The other ones are all Primark swimwear so they are very affordable and but still really pretty! If you are going abroad and there’s a chance you might be near sea or a swimming, a bikini is a must! They are also great for tanning in. 😉 Always choose a bikini or swimming costume that makes you feel confident and good about yourself!

A Good Book –

Everyone needs that summer read for when you relaxing by the pool, it is great to just lie in the sun and really get into a good book! I do also love magazines but to me there’s nothing like getting lost in a book. My favourite summer reads would be Summer With My Sister by Lucy Diamond and any of the Jenny Colgan books! They aren’t too dramatic and won’t make you cry, they are just funny, easy reads. They also have a bit of romance in them, which is perfect for the summer season!

My Holiday ~ April 2015

This Easter Holidays my mum and I went to the South Coast to Milford on Sea. We stayed in a static caravan. I go here often and it’s so lovely. I went from Monday to Friday, the weather was sunny and warm and I did a variety of things.

On Monday, we travelled down to the Coast. When we arrived my grandparents were there and my Grandma cooked dinner. Later on in the evening, mum and I went to the beach, built a fire and took pictures.

Tuesday, my grandparents packed up and went home. My Mum relaxed in the sun and I sadly had to do revision, as my GCSE’s are in a few weeks. In the evening we went out for a meal at the Beefeater which was nice.

On Wednesday, our friends visited us and stayed over. We went for a walk around the area, went to the beach where we made a fire and toasted marshmallows. The next day, we all went shopping in the seaside town Lymington, sat in the sun and had drinks overlooking the harbour. Unfortunately, they then had to go home, however this was my favourite day.

Friday, we didn’t do anything as we had to pack up and come home. Mum and I still had fun though, as we embarrassingly sang in the car and got a McDonalds on the way home!

What a lovely few days away! Here are a few of the pictures I took ~

What I Love About Spring

I think Spring is my favourite season. There are lots of things I love about it, but here are some of them ~

  1. Warmer Weather – The sun comes out, the weather becomes warmer and the dull days of winter disappear.
  2. Flowers – They really add beauty to the surroundings and daffodils are planted everywhere in the UK at this time of year.
  3. Longer Days – As Spring approaches, the days become longer as there are more hours of daylight. This means more hours of the day where you can go out and about.
  4. Easter – Easter is in Spring time and who doesn’t love eating chocolate, waiting for the Easter bunny, seeing the daffodils and looking at the new Spring lambs.
  5. Outdoors – As the weather improves, going outside becomes more fun as you can go on long walks, eat and drink outdoors and play sports without being freezing cold!
  6. Spring Cleaning – Is a chance to de-clutter and make room for more exciting things.
  7. Picnics – I think at this time of year, it’s so nice to have picnics in parks and enjoy the weather outdoors.
  8. Positivity – Spring brings a more optimistic look at life and lifts people’s moods. It makes people go out more, be active and make more enjoyable plans.

What is your favourite season? Or what do you love about Spring?
